My friend and I are both 44 years old. We still consider anything from Presto or later to be ‘new’ Rush. And we’re willing to die on that hill. Music-wise, being a teenager in the 90s was a series of peaks and valleys, but generously speaking - we had the luxury of viewing the whole of pre-Grunge pop music by a more objective standard than those who lived it (of whom I’m envious). The small but notable advantage here is that we could take in essentially anything, even the mid-career ‘adult contemporary’ period of a prog rock luminary and process it on its own merits - free of the peer-pressured expectation to reject it as having wandered astray of that for which said luminary has already been accepted and shall not be permitted any creative liberties, henceforth. In other words, I love this album.

8:49 when Ged added the breathy synth into the solo of Bangkok it took this song to a new level. Its really noticeable off the Exit Stage Left recording. Lifesons solo on that is characteristically astounding.

I remember this tour. I saw them at the University of Dayton ( UD ) Dayton ohio. Had really good seats in section 313 row f my seaso ticket location .this was a month after my high school graduation in 1984.

Say what you will and I know we have our favs but I havent seen anyone that did it better in my lifetime (Im 62). Thanks for the music and the memories Neil, Alex and Geddy.

Losing the absolute love of my life to heart failure just after she turned 33 makes this song just so unbelievably powerful and meaningful to me. It was already that way when it first came out in 2012, but then when Neil died, I actually couldn't listen to it without crying for a while. Then, April 24th, 2024 when my best friend and love of my life passed... it solidified its place as my favorite song of all time. It happened to be one of her favorite songs as well, which makes it that much more special. A few months ago we were hanging out with friends and it came on, and one of her friends was talking loudly, so I told him to shut up so we could hear this song lol. I hope she's flying high with Neil, and her lost loved ones right now ❤️

I'm kinda new to Rush. Only started listening to them in the late 70's. First show (I was 16) in Cincinnati in '82 on the Signals tour. Saw a banner I remember to this day: "Rush is the Best, F@#% the Rest". 😁

saw this concert tour in worcester, ma, they had huge top hats on eAch side of the stage and giant inflatable bunnies came out of them, and neil put on a blistering solo performance

All three were in major physical challenges and still pulled it off was incredible.

OMG! i just realized that neil peart is in this video!!! i saw them a week earlier in houston on this tour and john rutsey was still with them. it must have been his last show, or pretty close.

I saw them I think it was a few days after this at the Worcester Centrum in Massachusetts. I call this my Neil Peart show because after having seen them a few times prior to this, first time for signals, I watched Neil 90% of the show. My seats were right about where the person who recorded this were.

Ged avoiding haircuts, since 1968.

First time seeing RUSH on late night TV - New York , at my Aunts house . Fan ever since .

How does he remember all this stuff from M almost 40 years ago?

Rush has given me decades of tears and happiness. Been there before I got married, after I got divorced. Been there while raising six kids. Been there for all of it! They are ALL here with me forever. They are like friends I never met but they knew me so deeply and vs. vs. They gave us a sort of a religious/religion for all humanity. All are welcome, none push aside. None judged, all are saved and loved. What other band has given that to the world in such a graceful fashion and humility. Thank you Rush for all you have given to me. Perhaps, RUSH is who brought up the next 'greatest' generation. A generation of heart and soul and love.
